Gifts From the Heart for the Residents of the South
For the seventh day in a row of the "Pillar of Defense" campaign, and despite the barrage of missiles that are constantly falling and further escalation by terrorist groups, Chabad Terror Victims Prject (ctvp.org) staff and Shluchim in the south spent another day giving inspiration and encouragement to local residents.
Once again, they were equipped with many packages which are meant to encourage and uplift the spirits of Southern residents who are constantly hearing the “Red Alert” warnings and to encourage the soldiers waiting on the front lines. ."Every day we send out teams of Chabad Chasidim to the south of the country, and they go from bomb shelter to bomb shelter , to the areas where rockets are exploding, and also to the shut-ins in their apartments, and distribute packages and lots of encouragement which gives a warm hug to the residents. The packages include toys and games for kids, candy, and reading books. But the most important thing is to embrace and the love that accompanies the packages” explains the chairman of Chabad in Israel Rabbi Yosef Aharonov.
The lovely children of Kfar Chabad who are studying in various educational institutions of the village also responded to the call of “Our Hearts are With You” project that CTVP launched and came forth with contributions of hundreds of paintings, candy, games and letters of encouragement to the residents who are living in the South.
