300 Wheelchairs Arrive in Israel!

3.jpgWith the wonderful coordination of Rabbi Chaim Nochum Cunin, a Chabad Shaliach in southern California, and the extraordinary generosity of a very special family in his community, a container of 300 wheelchairs has just arrived at Tzeirei Agudas Chabad’s headquarters in Israel. They are to be distributed throughout the country to those in need.

The Hochman family in Rabbi Cunin’s community will soon be celebrating the joyous Bar Mitzvah of their son Tyler in Israel. Not only have they made this magnificent gift, but they have also chosen to personally involve all their family members directly in the great mitzvah of distributing these urgently needed wheelchairs. This tremendous undertaking will be carried out with the assistance of Chabad Houses across Israel.

The wheelchairs will be donated to terror victims, wounded soldiers, hospitals, and nursing homes throughout Israel. As well, many will be going to Sderot and the communities surrounding it that continue to come under daily attack from kassam rockets.

This unique and exceptional project will aid and assist so many victims of terror and wounded soldiers who need these wheelchairs in order to be able to move on with their lives. The wheelchairs will restore mobility to them and open new worlds of possibility for them.

Deepest gratitude and heartfelt appreciation go to Rabbi Cunin and to this exceptional family who so lovingly and compassionately have chosen to celebrate this milestone in their son’s life by providing help to those in Israel who have sacrificed so much on behalf of the Jewish people everywhere.
