Most of the soldiers at the party had participated in a trip to Aspen, Colorado, as guests of the local Shliach, Rabbi Mendel Mintz. There they had learned how to ski despite the physical limitations which they cope with. Since the trip to Aspen, the soldiers have become very close and they meet every month for a Rosh Chodesh gathering.
Also participating in the party was Rabbi Yossi Swerdlov of Chabad’s Youth Organization with a group of friends.
