Commenting on the verse, “All the nations of the land will see that the name of G‑d is called upon you,” our sages declare that this refers to the head-Tefillin.
Wearing Tefillin is important not just for you as an individual; it brings protection to the Jewish people. This is why, just before the outbreak of the Six-Day War in 1967, the Rebbe —Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson — began a campaign to encourage Jewish men and boys to put on Tefillin.
As Iran continues to strike Israel today with barrages of missiles, Chabad’s Terror Victims Project (CTVP) is distributing Tefillin to soldiers, to those whose Tefillin were destroyed in missile strikes to their homes, and to those who have lost everything and been displaced.
The importance of wearing Tefillin at this very dangerous time for Israel is critically important also, so the nations of the world will see that G‑d is with Israel.
