Urgent Plea from the Parents of the Kidnapped Students

Urgent Plea from the Parents of the Kidnapped Students:
Women and Girls Should Light Shabbos Candles

 Fathers Plea.jpg

Last night CTVP director, Rabbi Menachem Kutner, received an urgent phone call from the father of Ayal Yifrach, one of the kidnapped boys asking him to meet with him.

When he arrived the father asked him, on behalf of all the parents, that Chabad Shluchim worldwide should please encourage women and girls around the world to light Shabbos candles in the merit of the kidnapped students.

In the words of Ayal’s Father:

“In every Jewish home in Israel and around the world, they should light Shabbos Candles. Shabbos is for Zachor = Remembering and Shamor = Guarding. May Hashem remember the kidnapped students and guard them. In the merit of this Mitzvah may he save them and bring them back home safe and sound speedily.”

When kindling the lights please have in mind:
Yaakov Naftali Ben Rachel Devorah
Gilad Michael ben Bat Galim
Eyal ben Iris Teshura

Chabad of Hebron is working to provide support for the 1,000 IDF soldiers in their area while they search for the 3 kidnapped boys.

The eyes of the Jewish world are all turned to Hebron where searches continue for the three Yeshiva boys who were abducted on June 12.

The IDF’s efforts are heavily focused in the Hebron region, and in addition to our prayers, it has been a call to action for Chabad of Hebron.

In the past 72 hours, many volunteers have been added to the staff to help handle the needs of the close to 1,000 soldiers now in the area.

The team is making constant rounds to ensure that every soldier is taken care of physically and spiritually.

In addition to a tefillin campaign, Chabad of Hebron has launched a pizza campaign to enable people to make a huge difference for the soldiers with even a small donation.

"Your donations directly help us deliver pizza pies to the soldiers," says Rabbi Danny Cohen, Shliach in Hebron, who is coordinating the efforts. "But it's more than just pizza. You are sending the soldiers a warm message that the whole Jewish world is behind them," he said.
