CTVP brings light the houses of the bereaved families

Yesterday, the first day of Chanukah brought the first of many nights of home visitations to families of terror victims. Scores of volunteers guided by the CTVP staff visited many bereaved families of terror victims and family members of fallen IDF soldiers. They lit candles and brought them the message of Chanukah with a special emphasis on "Haor Yinatzeiach" - "the light will win."

This is precisely why CTVP sees it as our duty to the families get the Chanukkah lights into their homes and into their hearts. This is in accordance to the Rebbe's directive to ensure that light The candles will be for all Jews, especially those in difficult circumstances

Pictured above is one of the teams who left the night before the first candle of Chanukkah from CTVP headquarters to visit bereaved families in central Israel. Rabbi Meir Mark and his son accompanied visits with Rabbi Menachem Kutner , director of activities for CTVP.  Rabbi Mark expressed how moved he was spending the first night of Chanukah with the families and told with excitement the wonderful feeling he had of bringing the light of Chanukah to the families and he himself felt strengthened in when their spirits were lifted.

One of the bereaved mothers expressed deep gratitude to CTVP saying that because of the visit this year Chanukah will really be much happier.
